- Black/mixed race healthcare professionals women of #MedTwitter:I am nervous about going to work with an afro and would like some advice on how to make it look professional when I start in a few weeks #MedTwitter #afrotwitter
- Replying to @drkeithsiauLooks like acanthosis nigricans. Can be related to type 2 DM so possible underlying NAFLD?!??
- Such an honour to win this amongst fierce competition!Thank you so much! Our first ever Junior Doctor of the Year is Dr Gio Sheiybani, whose colleagues say she is a pleasure to have on the team and will be a fabulous asset to any hospital. Congratulations Dr Sheiybani! #teamgloshospitals
- So after talking to @PearsonVUE, they are unable to accommodate me to express somewhere in the centre. I would like to ask @RCPL_trainees @RCPhysicians why they outsource to a company that cannot provide the basics for female doctors in an exam that only happens annually? (1/2)Very disappointed that I am being told @PearsonVUE cannot accommodate for me to express milk for my 12 week old when sitting the #ESEGH. Delaying exam by an 1hr isn't really good enough (1/2)
- MSc in medical education completed and passed! I feel so proud to finally get here! Doors are always open despite your background, you have to choose to walk through them. #wideningparticipation
- Replying to @drkeithsiauChvostek sign from hypocalcaemia (think I have spelt that right!)
- Doctors at RUH saying enough is enough! Govt can stop this today with a credible offer! @RishiSunak @SteveBarclay @BMA_JuniorDocs
- Hearing that the @RCP are not able to accommodate #breastfeeding for an exam. We have plenty of doctor mums - need to seriously improve this! How are we supposed to get equality if this cannot be done? Urgently needs attention! @TheBMA @BMA_JuniorDocs @RCPL_trainees
- Enjoying 2 weeks of our lovely baby boy who was delivered @gloshospitals on 29th Jan. They were amazing and will never forget the kindness of the midwife (Ellen) who facilitated a beautiful birth at the birth unit.
- On a positive note about planning rotas, our med director @gloshospitals has had very open chats with the juniors and has listened to us. It has led to a truly collaborative approach in managing what will be another tough period for everyone. It can be done!
- By some absolute miracle, I have managed to pass the #ESEGH whilst dealing with a newborn! No more exams ever again hopefully! 🙌
- Just as an update - I have been back at work since March. I have had lots of black women compliment my hair and one saying I have given her the confidence to go natural. Wearing my natural hair has been freeing and feel proud of it! Thank you all for your support!Black/mixed race healthcare professionals women of #MedTwitter:I am nervous about going to work with an afro and would like some advice on how to make it look professional when I start in a few weeks #MedTwitter #afrotwitter
- Replying to @drkeithsiauThis is probably a bit out there but he has a malar flush which is likely mitral stenosis. Possible endocarditis from strep bovis with underlying colorectal cancer
