Especially in the context of standoffish archetypes. I usually gravitate towards characters like Edward Elric and Soryu Asuka, but my appreciation for Hinata is rooted in deeper themes
- I commend the Danganronpa fans with some sense who try to open cans of worms that nobody else would dare to touch. Unfortunately they remain unopened for a reason. Hinata was assaulted, I don't really care for any counter argument you have.
- People who somehow talk about Hinata without mentioning Komaeda and vice versa really downplay the significance of their writing from a narrative perspective, regardless of if they ship komahina or not. They are literally sewn together.
- I fucking adore Towa Monaka. I will fight tooth and nail for characters like her. This shit pisses me off. I've experienced what she has among many more implied things. To *erase* that essentially to make her abuser more likable is one of the most fucked things you can do.

GIF - This is the point! He appears that way, but he doesn’t *want to*. His design in particular is to emphasize that he doesn’t ‘belong with the shsl students’. He sticks out, but he doesn’t want to. As for the anime, the nail that sticks up gets hammered down.

- I feel like a lot of fans undermine what he’s been through because danganronpa protagonists (aside from Akamatsu, I’d argue) all function as stand ins—and while I think Hinata has moments like that, people see Naegi far too much in him when analyzing him as a character.
- i don’t really like the way people characterize komaeda in chapter 4. he could already tell hinata lacked talent. that’s what drew him to hinata in the first place in my opinion. but i can also understand how that can be debated upon anyway
