    The IRS played in everybody’s face this year. You either owed or got a small amount back. Either way, most of us were all cheated.

    Receiving a tax refund means you paid more taxes throughout the year than you were supposed to, and the government is now obligated to return that money to you. If you do not receive a refund it does not mean you were cheated, it means that you did not overpay in taxes. irs.gov/refunds
