Asked the OpTic VALORANT team how it felt to contribute to OpTic/Envy’s successful stretch. @yayfps said it was OpTic Call of Duty got him into esports, and that it felt special to bring a title to the same org that captured his passion.

H3CZ came out to tell the ESA crowd to hold off on callouts during search and destroy maps. Been happening all tournament. "We don't win like that."

Scump’s last match as a pro: 1.22 K/d (best in match), 10,555 damage (team best). 3-2 win over Methodz (you know he’ll use that forever).

Scump hasn't fallen off at all. Considering he turns 27 in June, and he's the oldest SMG in the CDL, his huge maps for #OpTicTexas feel all the more impressive. He has his days when he is still the best Call of Duty player on the map.

Some unfortunate news to share. I will no longer be covering OpTic and the Fuel as a full-time job. DMN needs me in another role. We are proud of what we accomplished with the esports beat in 2.5 years. There just wasn’t enough to justify keeping me on the beat. (1/2)

The Dallas Empire started the 2020 season 1-3, and won just two maps in the three losses. People were already calling for Shotzzy and iLLeY to be dropped. I'm not here to tell you that OpTic Texas is going to flip everything and win a world title, but it's week one.

Shotzzy apologized to Ultra immediately. Said he was told after map two. About what I expected. He's really not the guy to do something out of malice. Even his brothers growing up said he was always humble. Plus Shotzzy does not need to break GAs to win lol.

Woah. Scump retires. Lots of good bits in the speech, but I liked that Karma was the first to embrace him. Someone who knows how hard it is to put away an iconic career. And Dashy is back for #OpTicTexas

Breaking: the 2022 Overwatch League season plan is to be played on “an early build of Overwatch 2,” a league spokesperson told The Dallas Morning News this morning. That means a form of OW2 will come by April 2022. There will be more details to come.

#OpTicTexas eliminates Atlanta FaZe from the CDL Pro-Am with General in for iLLeY. Talk about an impressive feat. OpTic now 4-0 on the season against the defending champs. Even after Major II, seems like there's no question that OpTic is for real this season.

For those of you that are #GreenWall die-hards: I'm the OpTic beat reporter for The Dallas Morning News. I'll be covering every match and bringing you exclusive stories at a rate no other publication can. I'm thrilled to be covering the most notable team and names in CDL.

The @DallasFuel have signed former NYXL hitscan star Kim “Pine” Do-hyeon. Dallas and Pine are waiting on the visa process, but are hopeful for him to join the team in maybe a month. Fuel staff "had faith in me," he said. Full story:
