- The SBA remembers retired Sgt. Jacqueline C. Schaefer, 50, of the Quality Assurance Division, who passed away from 9/11 related ailments on 12/2/2011. We owe her a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.

- PO Wilbert Mora, who was shot in the line of duty on Jan. 21, has passed away. The SBA extends its deepest condolences to his family & colleagues, as well as those of PO Jason Rivera, who was killed in the same incident. We will NEVER FORGET.

- In honor of Women's History, we remember PO Moira Smith - the only female NYPD officer killed on 9/11. Here she escorts a man to safety minutes before her death. The man later praised her for “conveying her authority & keeping the evacuation moving despite the horrific scene.”
- The SBA remembers retired Sgt. Michael Incontrera, 52, of the Highway District, who passed away from 9/11 related ailments on 12/10/2017. We owe him a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.
