Since quite a few mutuals have been asking me to be on Goodreads, created the account and have uploaded the first list of ~100 books. If a book exists in the list, it's not an endorsement but a recognition that it's useful in some or other ways.

There is a terrible trend that many Indian commentators have picked up recently – the assumption that every person out there has an enmity with Indians. It's simply an expression of frustration after losing. Nothing beyond it.
Gukesh didn’t even flinch when Magnus threw his signature defeat tantrum. Almost like he was waiting for it. They’re both geniuses, but all hail Gukesh’s incredible composure.

Excellent. But do you know Singapore deliberately keeps Malay Muslims away from occupying important posts in military and internal security departments? Are you ready to accept Lee Kuan Yew's wisdom in this regard and implement same in India?
Agree. I’ve lived in Singapore three years & been hugely impressed by their relentless efforts to prevent any communal friction, which has helped them focus on development and growth. There’s a lesson there for all of us that some in our country are trying to get us to unlearn.

No, it's not a failure. It solved the biggest sanitation problem of India i.e., open defecation. Central government can't undertake the responsibility of a municipality of keeping the city clean everyday. It's a local government issue and people need to hold them accountable.
🚨 Opinion: The Swatch Bharat mission is a big failure.

The staggering number of traitors which Hindu community produces is astounding. Always ready to sell yourself to the highest bidder driven by the relentless pursuit of self-interest over anything else. In US, there are 100s such advocacy groups but she targets a Hindu group.
I spent 7+ months @columbiajourn investigating how the Hindu American Foundation has lobbied the U.S. govt for over a decade: laundering the Modi regime’s track record on minorities & championing its geopolitical interests while maintaining cozy ties with the Indian govt. #Thread

The myth created by Dilip Mandal around Fatima Sheikh is a classical example of what I term 'citation citadel' in the context of history writing. How does this work? I'll explain in this thread based on what I had written earlier on it.

And non-Brahmins like me proudly endorse it by specifically finding the eateries runs by Brahmins to have food. Seethe as much as you can.
Casteism does not go away because you pretend it does not exist.

There is a reason why the Hans prefer trapping them in the massive debt instead of offering generous deal as Indian government does. Adani was offering a charitable deal of airport upgrade in return of a 30 year lease. And obviously, US is the 'Great Satan' as Khomeini put it.
In address to the nation, Kenya President Ruto announces cancellation of deals with Indian group Adani.

When you have 20k+ American troops sitting in your country, you're effectively a vassal state and your citizens get treated like criminals. Another reminder that sovereignty is about courage, less about PCI. Otherwise, even at $30k+ PCI, you get treated like vermins.
These images of the mainly Korean workers being chained by ICE in full restraints including wrists, belly, and ankles are pretty nuts.

The great Hoysala king Veera Ballala III was captured and flayed alive while he tried to rescue Madurai from the yoke of Islamic imperialism. How can Modi understand your ilk when such great sacrifice is not even kept alive in public memory? Amnesia is a rare quality ultimately.
I’m proud to be born in Madurai ♥️ #HateMongerModi will never ever understand us.

Beef eaters will not be allowed in any Hindu temple wherever we have the wherewithal to enforce it. Lack of ability to enforce it doesn't mean we have abandoned the principle. What's permissible is not determined by Pew survey. Keep that argument for next debate with Tharoor.
If argument against Ranbir Kapoor to not be allowed to do Darshan at Mahakaleshwar is that he eats beef by that logic there are other Hindus in the movie industry who eat beef and are currently loved by those who make this argument. Or may be there is no argument, just vandalism.

There is no truth bomb being dropped here. If I'm a vegetarian and invest in a meat business, it simply shows that I don't have any principle or spine as soon as money comes into the picture. Kudos to these vegetarian VCs for being true to their beliefs and sticking with it.
Licious founder dropping some truth bombs here on Indian VCs or vegetarian capitalists as he likes to call them

A Hindu celebrates Holi by lighting a fire in front of his home. His Muslim neighbour reciprocates it by slaughtering a cow ultimately resulting in rioting. This happened in a Hindu majority neighbourhood. So, that should explain why there is a huge uproar against it.

A Doctor sold his house to a fellow Doctor… why on earth would that lead to a massive protest / uproar in a posh housing society in Moradabad?? Well because the DOCTOR who bought the house is a Muslim and that will lead to ‘security concerns’ say residents. Welcome to #NewIndia

Amongst one of the most glorious stories of PSUs in India, employees of Haldia fertilizer plant (owned by HFCL) didn't produce a single kilogram of fertilizer for 16 years (1986-2002) but continued receiving salaries, housing accommodation and all other employment benefits.
