    Further to Brad Rawiller news from yesterday. He will relocate to WA for immediate future. "I would dearly love to establish myself in Perth riding ranks and move the family across in the New Year. I am extremely focused and serious about the move West." He said in a statement.

    Respect Tony greatly but until the Everest attracts 100,000 people on course, can be staged weekday on a public holiday and have the majority of the country stop for 2 min to watch A horse race it's the Melbourne Cup for me.

    Gut wrenching for Dan and Ben Pearce. She was suffering mild colic on and off since Monday and under surgery they discovered an inoperable growth. 6 wins and 11 placings from 21 starts and a touch over $800,000 in prize money and bonuses. Quality mare. RIP.

    1/2 Our thoughts and prayers go out to jockey Damian Miller who was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer earlier in the week. For the moment he plans to continue riding but understands there will be a period of absence in coming months.
