Being a founder is one of the toughest and loneliest jobs on the planet. You're faced with constant noise, uncertainty, constraints, setbacks... while trying to stay physically fit and mentally strong in your quest. Great founders are comfortable mastering their discomfort.

Raising money and acquiring customers are vital skills for founders to have. But the best hallmark of your conviction is when you hire. If you can persuade great people to join, they will help you build product, sell it and repeat the hiring cycle. And all else flows from there.

"Everybody is an investor" The Power Law is recognized as a universal truth in venture investing. But as Thiel compellingly suggests, it applies to all - whether you're a Founder, young coder, or looking for a career move. Find your personal tailwind, then double down deeply.

Most founders have a singular focus on growing users, product and revenue. But don't forget to also focus on personal growth. How you seek feedback, stay humble/open minded, and scale your listening/learning curve - can become your biggest gear shifters for exponential growth.

Future of Work = Outsourcing 3.0 + WFH + Productivity tools + 5G. Taking a leaf from Y2K, India can make an even deeper ๐ŸŒŽimpact transforming areas like healthcare (eg telemedicine, vaccines), AI/ML (ed-tech, logistics, agri) - leveraging 'new tech to reshape the old economy'.

Recently, someone asked what inspires me. In my 20s, 30s & even now - role models like Bezos (massive scale), Gates (institutionalizing philanthropy). But whats equally inspiring is India's youth - ambition, energy & speed as a moat! Excited to see what they bring us in 2020.

"If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room" Nowhere is this truer than in hiring and building teams. Great product, marketing & sales take you from 0 to 10. But great PEOPLE are that most special ingredient for the Founder's long journey from 10 to 100.

Founders, as you hire and scale you need visionary birds AND focused frogs Covering both ends of the spectrum Those who see farther + deeper Lateral + vertical thinking Multi discipl/diverse + linear/deep problem solvers Cultivate a culture where both birds & frogs thrive ๐Ÿ’ช
