Very telling that the women are reacting to this with joy, while the men are angry. When I was 21, I was travelling from Bangalore to Bangkok for a conference. I had the window seat and made polite conversation with the 30 year old indian man sitting next to me. I fell asleep

Wtf is this headline? Journalists really need to be sensitised on how to report on gender violence. The 13 yo girl did not “refuse to sleep with him”, she resisted rape — "man murders his daughter for resisting rape"

At some point and woke up to his hand on my chest. He was pretending to have fallen asleep like that. I panicked and didn’t know what to do so I just moved his hand away and was in shock for the rest of the flight. In hindsight, I wish I’d slapped him and raised an alarm. But I

Had coworkers on the flight and it was my first job and I didn’t want to cause a stir so I told myself that maybe it was an accident and he didn’t mean to do it. Since then, I have always chosen an aisle seat on long flights, and remain vigilant while sitting next to a man.
