    Dear Pope @Pontifex, In Indonesia, Sumarsih’s son was killed during a student protest in 1998. She stands in front of the presidential palace to seek justice every Thursday, for more than a decade. She is a devout Catholic. Hopefully, you can meet her in person.

    Gempa, which means earthquake in Indonesian, is trending on Twitter. People are sharing their stories. I don't know how to respond, but they seem pretty calm and the stories are quite funny. For example, there is a person who recorded a fish tank during the earthquake.

    Southeast Asian people are too humble. We faced dictatorship and colonialism. We see violence and poverty on daily basis. But we are still grateful for our lives.

    Arnold Putra, an Indonesian fashion designer, wore Pancasila Youth uniform at Paris Fashion Week 2022. Pancasila Youth is a far-right paramilitary organization that was involved in the 1965-66 genocide. Arnold was criticized before for making a bag from human spine.
