    Feeling enthusiastic about the Assam Community Surveillance Plan (ACSP) launched 3 days back. Attempt is to capture all fever, influenza and respiratory cases across state by 900 medical teams. Looks like ACSP a potent weapon for combating Japanese Encephalitis, Malaria & COVID!

    Trying times. People coming back to Assam. We have designed elaborate systems and SOPs with teams working 24*7: people are received & taken to one of the 5 zonal centres. Everyone is quarantined & tested. Absolutely no compromise with public health. Solicit cooperation from all.

    A revised SOP has been issued with regard to air travelers visiting Assam. Air passenger who departs from Assam within 72 hours of arrival need not undergo quarantine subject to some conditions.

    Dear Ratnadip, there is no RAT kit crisis in Assam. There was a temporary supply issue. Reportedly, large workforce at supplier’s end was down with covid in Delhi. Now supplies resumed and shipment received. No crisis of Vax/O2 either in Assam thus far. Together we shall overcome

    Participated in the 72nd session of World Health Assembly, Geneva, today. Learnt about numerous good practices which can be replicated in Assam. Also got an opportunity to represent India and South East Asia Region-read out statements before the Assembly-a proud privilege indeed!
