- Rape as a crime is so fundamentally different. There can be loose justifications for other crimes, like poverty; even murder can be accidental or in self defense. There has never been & will never be a situation that necessitates or accidentally causes rape. The answer is no.

00:00 - Replying to @rusticfemThat's why rape is so psychologically damaging. Victims of other crimes can try to soothe themselves with justifications, but rape victims know they were victimized because the perpetrator wanted to, chose to, & derived pleasure from the terror & pain of the victim.

- Can I say something controversial? I don't think this is the whole picture. I think many Americans don't realize how readily white women in non-liberal areas (so, most of the country) accept subjugation.White women overwhelmingly vote against their own interests as women because their commitment to racism supersedes anything else.
