- Um, this is awesome. Fire up the Gemini CLI and install the nano-banana extension. I just did. Generate or edit images, create icons, even produce technical diagrams or mockups. github.com/gemini-cli-ext…
00:40Replying to @googleaidevsTake it for a spin in Gemini CLI with the new Nano Banana extension 🍌 - I shouldn't even be telling everyone about this, but here goes. Did you know that if you have a Google account, you have a free cloud-based dev environment at ide.cloud.google.com? And it has now Gemini Code Assist now enabled by default? - Kudos to @AnthropicAI for a killer registry of Claude use cases. If you're struggling for inspiration for what to do with an LLM (any LLM) this is a great set of scenarios to sift through.
- I’ll be honest with you. Our @googlecloud Gemini Code Assist was useful, but with too many rough edges. My DevRel team, along with product, engineering, and even @ThomasOrTK had enough. So we’ve spent months removing friction from it. It’s not perfect, but it’s better! A 🧵:

- Yup, @Google Bard does a pretty great job at coding tasks now. Code generation, code explanation (try pointing to a repo!), fixing code bugs, and even giving a source citation where applicable. blog.google/technology/ai/… I even got COBOL back:
- About half our code at Google is AI generated at this point. Engineers review every character, and choose what to accept into our codebase. #GeminiAtWork
