- The first Android phone was announced 10 years ago today. I have many fond memories of the times leading up to that launch, but we knew there was so much more left to do. I'm deeply grateful for our wonderful developer community that keeps pushing us to be better.
- Some days I suspect that once you get promoted high enough at a large company, you are given a license for a special kind of IDE:
- I've been at Google for 10 years and I still learn as much from my coworkers as I did when I joined. It's truly amazing

- New photo, Golden Gate. This photo is a great example of how persistent you sometimes need to be as a photographer. I drove to the Golden Gate every day for sunset two weeks in a row to capture this shot:
- Watching Chet try to write an Android app is fascinating. I’m tempted to film the process and release a documentary.
- I wrote a new library that combines the advantages of vectors (Path) and 9-patches: github.com/romainguy/v9 It is not published on Maven yet as there is still some work to do on it but it might already be useful to you.
