I lived in a "blue" state for many years, which had a slew of gender-ID laws that stopped me from parenting my trans-ID 14 year old son. I wrote to every politician, asking them to reconsider their support for this cult. 1/

When I say I have a son who says he is a trans girl The Kind People scream No! You have a DAUGHTER! They won't let me participate in serious discussion Without adopting their language Forcing me to concede to their belief system Against my will and conscience. I will not consent.

I've been thinking a lot about the grooming of our children to believe that their actions do not affect others. My son believes that his accessing female spaces does not negatively affect women b/c he has been told so by authority figures, including many women, since he was 14.

Unfortunately, from my experience leaving the religious cult of my youth, I fear that the opposite with happen. That the Dems will double down and push harder on their ideological beliefs, without considering that they could be wrong. 6/end

Boys like my son seem to think that being a girl is a club they want to join. They refuse to consider that female is a sex class, & has nothing to do with anyone's desires or personality. Female is not a feeling. It is a developmental pathway. Tell boys like my son the truth!

In the aftermath of what appears to be a major bloodbath against the policies of the Dem establishment, I hope that one thing that they reflect upon is that they did not listen to the people their policies were affecting if they disagreed with them. 5/

In contrast, the republicans I contacted not only responded, but they responded to the actual contents of my letters. They offered to meet with me. I spoke to them on the phone and/or met with them in person. 4/

Every Democrat I contacted either ignored me or sent me a response about "LGBTQ2AI+" support, the debunked 41% self-termination of trans-kids, & refused to listen to me or respond to my actual letter. 2/

I worked with several national groups to get journalists to listen to what was really going on with the youth in our state. @IWF held a salon dinner, which I attended as a parent, and only 4-6 journalists showed up after dozens were invited. 3/

Several years ago, members of our group had "listening" sessions with some big name gender doctors. I came away from those sessions believing that this field is full of sociopaths, psychopaths, the profoundly stupid, & self-hating gay people. 1/

The final stage of grief is acceptance. I have accepted that my son is altering his physical appearance to alleviate his pain. I have accepted that he will probably not survive this decision. I have accepted that I need to fight against gender ideology for the rest of us to live.

The idea that only "bad" people call him out gives him the ability to ignore the harm he is causing. This idea has been sold to at least 1 entire generation. I'm not excusing what he is doing, but how will children recognize reality when they are being told it doesn't exist?
