    Texas is 7-9 under Steve Sarkisian. They held a halftime lead in 5 of those 9 losses. They held a 4th Q lead in 5 of those 9 losses. They had double digit leads in 4 of those 9 losses. #Texas is winning the battle of gameplan & preparation but losing the battle of adjustments.

    The #Horns are flawed…but this season they’ve shown exceptional team grit, outstanding football character & tremendous testicular fortitude. The pride & winning tradition of the #Texas #Longhorns will not be entrusted to the weak nor the timid…this team is neither. #HookEm🤘🏾

    Texas currently leads the #Big12 in missed tackles, sacks allowed and penalties; making the #Texas #Longhorns the worst blocking, tackling & most undisciplined team in the Big 12. These are cultural indictments and symptoms of a much broader affliction.

    Truth is I was very close to being an Aggie; in 99 Hou was as much an A&M town as it was a UT town. If not for Mack Brown sitting on my couch & drinking mama’s sweet tea I’d be an Aggie 2day. More than ever I realize the incalculable debt I owe to Mack Brown can never be repaid🤘🏾

    Shane Buechele lifted #Texas out of QB hell, that’s his legacy. Buechele was #Bevo’s 1st full season starter @ QB since 2010; he was 5-2 as a starter in 2017 & as a backup last yr he won both games when forced into action. UT doesn’t play for a #Big12 title w/o him #HookEm #Horns

    UT QB Shane Buechele will transfer to SMU after he graduates in May. First true freshman QB in #Longhorns history to start the first two games of his career and is #HookEm 's 10th all-time passer w/ 4,636 yards. Hope the Arlington Lamar alum shines back in his DFW home.

    The #Texas #Longhorns aren’t yet a 4 quarter team…but they are a 4th quarter team. Texas isn’t the most complete team but they are clutch in critical moments. They are far from perfect but they play w/ passion & purpose. They wow you when it matters most. #HookEm #Horns🤘🏾

    There continues to be much debate among #Longhorns regarding the talent level at #Texas & I’ll concede that there are talent deficiencies but we should all be able to agree that there’s more than enough talent on the roster to avoid a 5 game losing streak & a home loss to Kansas

    Sam Houston St. ranks: -133rd in pass defense -113th in pass efficiency defense -115th in completion % allowed -131st in passing TDs allowed -119th or worse in 10, 20, 30 & 40 yd completions allowed If Texas’ passing game can’t find its groove vs SHSU…press the panic button🤘🏾

    The #Texas defense currently has the #1 ranked pass defense in the country. In fact, the #Longhorns have the only pass defense in the last 24 years to finish the regular season ranked #1 after finishing outside the top 100 (116th) in the previous season. #HookEm #Horns🤘🏾

    Joseph Ossai had 12 tackles, 7 solo tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovery & 1 forced fumble for the #Longhorns vs OkSt. Just curious, Joseph Ossai’s effort is the best individual defensive performance by a #Texas football player since when...? #HookEm #Horns

    Cedric Benson had a thirst for life that most of us couldn’t stomach. A legendary lifetime Longhorn who was a hippie at heart & a warrior in spirit. Like most I was a big fan but today I feel lucky & blessed to call him my friend & teammate. He is missed. #RIPCedricBenson #HookEm
