Researching the Colorado River for a script and now I have fallen down a rabbit hole. We should be very concerned for our water security in next few decades. Like grass lawns in Southern California should be banned tomorrow. It’s bad ya’ll!

Still don’t understand how Nightcrawler didn’t get Jake Gyllenhaal a Best Actor nomination. No explanation has ever made sense and his omission has aged terribly.

I think it’s one of the reasons it’s legacy has endured. It’s also an incredibly sad story when you feel back the ending and jokes. Most of the characters do not get a happy ending and died miserably in pain.

Look how many camera moves are served up here in this sequence from the og Jurassic Park. Almost nothing is static, Dean Cundey doesn’t let up. My two favorite shots are the Dolly pan & push behind Laura Dern when she closes the circuit & the reveal of the perimeter fence button.

Disney let Brian De Palma direct a PG sci-fi movie and he puts this in the opening minutes of Mission to Mars. As a kid I was shocked how brutal it was. It’s still a disturbing scene as an adult!
