- I want a TV show called The Contractor. About the person who built the Bat Cave and Arrow hangout and the warren they use on Supernatural. I want it to be about getting permits and installing stuff without neighbors noticing.
- I believe that older writers, like me, have a duty to pass on the secrets and the tricks of the trade that have served us. So, here is the magic you can use to generate character names that are unique.

- A character is not the writer. A narrator is not the writer. A character's attitudes and opinions may or may not be the writer's. A narrators attitudes and opinions may or may not be the writer's.
- Readers need to know when stuff like this happens. Readers need to think of the stories they won't read if writers are not allowed to tell them.
- If you are a writer, why are you reading this instead of writing your book? For shame. And you made me stop writing to come on here and tell you this. Look what you made me do!
- Replying to @robinhobb4. When you are called to pick up your pastry, the new character name will be printed on the bag. It may bear a passing resemblance to what you muttered. Or it may be an entirely new name, never used in any culture.
- The best part of owning books on paper is no one can come into your home and change them. My Roald Dahl books will remain as he wrote them.
- In my opinion and in my experience. Both fantasy and SF run in cycles. I've seen years of cyberpunk and years of urban fantasy. Historical fantasy. Romantic fantasy. Christian fantasy. Dystopian fantasy and SF.
