So the MLB is allowed 7 coaches in the duggout to manage 25 players (most of whom are in the bullpen). What more do we need to validate a 3rd paid assistant in college baseball?

“We can’t afford a 3rd paid assistant for baseball”
Clemson's strength coach receives a $100,000 raise, which puts his salary in the top five of strength coaches. 1. Chris Doyle, Iowa, $725K 2. Micky Marotti, Ohio State, $675K 3. Craig Fitzgerald, Tennessee, $625K 4. Joey Batson, Clemson, $600K 5. Scott Cochran, Alabama, $585K

I hope HS athletes get out and play baseball. Get the squad together go down to the town park and start a game. Have fun with it. No recruiting through 7/31, who cares go get better at the game and ENJOY IT! On a side note: I WANT TO RECRUIT. 😞

Just a thought: For pace of play purposes in college baseball. What if a rule was implemented that stopped pitching coaches from calling every pitch in a game? Put the emphasis on smart catchers/pitchers? Any thoughts out there?

No one can complain about pace of play any longer if we ban shifts (more offense = longer game). Also… pitch clocks clearly work in NCAA when pitchers have to “fake” throws to a base it extends length between pitches. This is a joke
MLB & MLBPA agreed to ban shifts, implement a pitch clock & make the bases larger in 2023, per @JonHeyman
