    The last two weeks were fake Thursday Night Football. A near-classic shootout and a matchup between quality, capable teams is not what TNF stands for. Nix-Rattler harkens back to better days. Simpler days. Mariota-Bortles color-rush days. A fitting ode to those who came before.

    Some thoughts: The Bears trading a 4th-round pick and giving $20 million guaranteed to Nick Foles when Andy Dalton was available in FA only to sign Andy Dalton a year later — with Foles still on the roster — is objectively hilarious.
