The world is intrinsically not predictable. That is a good thing, because it means that we will never possess all knowledge, and therefore there will always be new knowledge. It means that the present can never control the future, and therefore humanity will always be free.

Elon Musk just gave $44 billion dollars to the former owners of Twitter that they can now use to end hunger, disease, poverty, war, and injustice. Which they will do first?

I’m a conservative. I voted for Ronald Reagan twice, for GW Bush twice, for John McCain, Mitt Romney, & Nikki Haley. I’m voting for #KamalaHarris because we need to defend the free world and can’t do it with a corrupt treasonous Putin-allied lunatic pervert in the White House.

NYT conservative columnist Bret Stephens hit it right on the head with this.

I'm a conservative. If the Republican Party wanted me to vote for their candidate they should have nominated someone who doesn't support Putin's war against the free world. Instead, I will need to vote for Harris, because she is the most conservative candidate in the race.

“The Nazis have taken Europe, and they are not giving it back. So let’s make a deal.” What idiocy.

This is not a WIN or LOSE situation. One of the opposing sides has made gains & is not giving it back so a DEAL has to be structured & any DEAL will have to balance the needs for all Party's involved. All Party's will lose something but the World will gain.

    Disgraceful action by Blue Origin.
NEWS: Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin has filed a comment to the FAA saying they should cap SpaceX's Starship launches from Cape Canaveral due to "impact on local environment". Blue Origin, founded in 2000 (~2 years before SpaceX), has not reached orbit yet.

I have two groups of twitter friends: Space geeks and politics freaks. The spacers are the sane ones. I think it’s pretty clear we’d all be much better off if people spent more time thinking about exploring the universe and less about fighting for power on Earth. Look up.

To help Germany survive the Russian gas cut off this winter, Ukraine will send Germany 5,000 candles in June 2024, provided that Germans can be trained in their use. Matches will follow by Q4 of 2025.

GOP in House must pull the plug on Johnson. It would only take 5 sane Congressmen to bring him down.
