- Throw the curtains wide this morning. Listen to the quiet before diving in. If you are beginning @TeachFirst #TFSI2020 have a great first day. Welcome to the profession. Pace yourself. Take time to make meaning of what you are learning, this helps you understand and apply later
- Day 1 of #TFSI2021 @TeachFirst Welcome to you all and to the wonderful teaching profession. There is a lot to take in but just like a wonderful landscape, be in wonder of it and then pick out pieces to look at in detail day by day. Enjoy the view, enjoy the day, you can do it.
- Well suffice to say no records were broken today but great to be out to #runtheriver2020 for @TeachFirst . More of a plod by a stream than running the river but tried my best.
- Well I did #runtheriver for @TeachFirst this morning. Included the Waterloo lake in Roundhay, so there was some water. I know the maths says different but 10k is def more than double 5k! Lovely to be running figuratively with many other runners this week around UK and beyond.
- Throw the curtains wide and take it all in for a mo. Its day 25 of @TeachFirst #TFSI2020. You have made it. Well done. The best is yet to come. Meeting the young people in our schools, surrounded by support from peers, mentors, tutors and TF. We are with you every step. Now rest
- Just a note to say to everyone working in our schools, leading teaching and providing invaluable support, thanks so much for supporting our children and our communities so well in the face of incredible challenge. I hope you all get a decent rest as you have put in a hero shift
- Just breathe for a mo. Then jump into day 6 of @TeachFirst #TFSI2020. Lots of new learning this week. Where possible connect it to aspects of learning from last week. This will help understanding of the whole not solely one part. Have a great day.
- Open the curtains wide this morning. Teachers and schools broaden and deepen the understanding of our world for those they teach. It is so valuable. Thanks for all you do regardless of location. Take care of yourself and each other.
- What a great picture and a great job by the 2020 cohort in really jumping into the digital Summer institute. Also really thankful to all those supporting from @TeachFirst and from our University partners who were able to make it happen. Youse all deserve a well earned rest.
- Take a mo to look out and think about what you have learnt already on @TeachFirst #TFSI2020. Its day 13 and be proud of your success. There is a mountain to climb but put one foot in front of another. Dont compare yourself with perfection. It does not exist. Go easy on yourself.
- Last week a real @TeachFirst legend passed away. David Wasp was an inspiring tutor for @CCCUEducation for many years. Previously a teacher and leader in schools in London who needed him most. A wonderful person and an advocate for teachers and pupils everywhere. We will miss him.
- Looking forward to getting started on @TeachFirst SI. I remember first time with trainees in 2003. Different this year yet much remains the same. People joining a great and supportive profession leading pupils to success, surrounded by experts from schools and uni partners.
- Teachers and leaders. Well done yesterday. Deep breath. Here we go again. Make a wee list of what needs to be decided today. (Decision fatigue is a thing) if time sketch out the med term plan. Fill in the detail when you can. You are on it already.
