Let’s talk about something else DUMB yall be doing. Letting people put credits and shit on your tax return you know good and damn well you don’t qualify for. And even if you don’t know you don’t qualify for them, the IRS still holds the taxpayer responsible.

    2. If you didn’t get the $1200 stimulus you can claim it on your 2020 tax return and still receive it. Recovery Rebate Credit. If you DID receive it, it is a refundable credit that was ADVANCED and you will not owe the IRS for it.

If your 2019 tax refund was snatched because of your defaulted student loans, you can call 800-621-3115. They’ll give you 75% of what was offset since we are currently in an economic crisis. You’re welcome ♥️

    3. If you received unemployment of any type this year, you are required to file it on your taxes. You will receive form 1099-G. This form will more than likely included what your state paid you AND what you received in PUA. BOTH were taxable.

    1. This upcoming season is going to be a shit show. Even if you have a “simple” return (W2 income only). Most self filers leave money on the table because they don’t know that some of the stuff they pay out of pocket for they can get a tax deduction for.

    5. Anytime you are issued ANY TAX DOCUMENTS, those same documents are sent to the IRS. W2, 1099, 1098-T, 1098-R. Anything with weird numbers and letters also got sent to the feds. If you’re not filing forms you received that the IRS DID receive, you’re going to get audited.
