The fact that this country has not come to a standstill after finding a mass grave of children means we need to come to standstill to try to absorb what that says about us.

- My eleven-year-old swung low for April Fools Day this year. #AprilFoolsDay
- Expectations were low for today. Here I am at a routine doctor’s appointment. I really didn’t plan this day right.
- 1/ This is the worst movie I have ever seen.
- Always dignified under pressure... Dear God. I had one job. Look classy. I did this instead. (Let me take this opportunity to tell you that you need to see the incredible "I Like Movies" by Chandler Levack. And the transformative "Brother" by Clement Virgo.)
- Love hearing that everyone you know who got COVID only had mild symptoms. Good for you. For myself - I know someone young and healthy who died and have a cousin recovering from a heart transplant after COVID. Forgive me if I take all of this pretty seriously.
- I'm very happy today and so grateful to the incredible collective of cast and crew who made Women Talking.
- I appreciate that but to give context to the snub - I did eat an astonishing (and greedy) number of scones and sandwiches at the BAFTA tea party. My plate was piled so high. I got some warning looks. I didn't heed them. But it was worth every delicious morsel. No regrets.My heart is truly broken for WOMEN TALKING

- 1/Lessons learned from Olympia Dukakis: First day I worked with her when I was 24 - "Where are we going for margaritas tonight?" I said I wanted to get an early night. She said " We gotta have some laughs. Otherwise we'll blow our fucking brains out." We went for the margaritas.
- I am thinking today of all the women who had to fight so hard for things to be better when they were young, only to find themselves having to fight for the same things now that they are old, and how tired they must be, and how grateful I am to them for their energy then and now.
- Whether you loved Promising Young Woman or not, it is telling that it is sweeping awards season, while I May Destroy You has been completely ignored. It's a clear statement about which stories we are ready to hear and which ones we continue to ignore. #imaydestroyyou
- Thread: 1/About 15 years ago, on a plane from LA to Toronto, I was struggling to get my bag into a crowded overhead bin. An old man offered to move his suitcase into a different position so I could fit mine in.
- I don't really care that Doug Ford dropped out of highschool or used to deal pot or that he can't use a laptop. I care very deeply that his policies have resulted in so much horrific, unnecessary loss of life. #DougFord #onpoli #COVID19Ontario
