“Nobody wants to see my emotion, it doesn’t matter – except to me. We’re here to report, and convey what’s happening here. There’s enough emotion in war already without adding more.” The wonderful ⁦@bbclysedoucet⁩ in today’s ⁦@Telegraph

I'm very sad to let you know that James Alexander Gordon has died at the age of 78. A true gentleman, he will be greatly missed at BBC Sport

I thought @GaryLineker @alanshearer @rioferdy5 @Guymowbray @jjenas8 and the @BBCSport team were brilliant yesterday - intelligent, informed, entertaining but, more than anything else, authentic and infectious in their sheer joy at England’s win.

So sad to hear about the death of Kevin Gearey. He was a one-off: an unforgettable character and a gent; a magisterial writer but never lofty or pretentious; and an aficionado who made sport accessible and engaging for all audiences. What a talent.

James @BBCJamesCook is a class act and he dealt with this depressing incident in his usual cheerfully calm, polite manner. Very proud to have a journalist of his integrity, intelligence and decency as our Scotland Editor.
This is utterly sickening. @BBCJamesCook is the most fair, thorough & kindest journalists in the business. His calm reaction in the face of this vitriol tells you everything you need to know about him. Appalling. x.com/blairmcdougall…

Sporting a boxer’s face and the hat which a stranger gave me to keep warm after my bicycle fall. Feeling lucky to be ok, thankful I was wearing a helmet and overwhelmed by the kindness shown to me at the time and since. Wonder if I can find the hat man? Dave was his name, I think
