You know why her statement makes a lot of sense? Because if Nigeria has been colonized by France or Portugal, the movie would not have been disqualified. Thinking about it now, it’s a damn shame tbh. This is a category that is exclusive even in its attempt to be inclusive.

Prostitutes are women too. Prostitutes are humans and have human rights. Fuck your moral standards, fuck your religious beliefs, fuck your judgmental opinions about them.

I really hate this ‘I’ve apologized, what more do you want?’ attitude people have. It is entitlement. You can apologize for your wrong but you are not entitled to my acceptance or forgiveness. That will come in its own time.

Flutterwave raised N2m for donations among their staff before making the link public. They didn’t have to, yet they did. And people that don’t even know what the link is are now shouting ‘our money’. The audacity.

Women give up way too much for marriage and kids to not be able to talk about it. Even if it’s whining, those women have earned the right to do it for life.

I don’t get why people complain about public holidays. If you don’t want it, collect your office key and go to work. We always complain that the weekend is too short but public holidays are also a problem. Shey people should not rest ni?

A Nigerian journalist is investigating Fatoyinbo’s acts and his former religious mentors are granting interviews exposing him. People who know him are asking that he be held accountable. Bukola Dakolo has done something! The culture is shifting. We are being heard.

What’s amazing about church people is how most are always so quick to judge women for having sex, sex workers, pregnant teens, baby mamas, divorcees but when their pastors rape women and sleep with women in the congregation, they say ‘let’s leave his judgment for God’.

In case you people have forgotten, pregnancy lasts for 9 months. Primary childcare lasts for at least a year. That’s about 2 years. Take 1.5 - 2 years out of your own career and see what happens first before you talk about ‘she made a choice’.

I think we are very wrong for thinking they are clueless. They are smart and know what they are doing. And then, what they lack in smartness sometimes, they make up for in having power and experience. We should stop underestimating them.

‘Hey darling. You know I love you but you earn 500k per month and I earn 200k p/m and the fact that you earn more really hurts me and makes me feel insecure. You should resign and get a job that pays you like 150k p/m so I can feel like a man again.’ Lmao is this sensible?
