Yes. In Chennai lot of the high end bike owners are mostly in this group. Friend's domestic help bought her son a 2.5 lac bike, he married a Xtian girl, converted and abandoned her. Those mothers are 200% convinced that splurging on their kids esp sons is the way to happiness

Today is the birth centenary of Vikram Sarabhai handpicked by Nehru in 1962 to launch India's space programme. Seven years later ISRO came into being. Sadly Sarabhai passed away very young in December 1971. (1/2)

One ex-colleague(Indian) once said that in the US you felt equal, in the UK you felt equal but separate. TBF, most educated Indian folks deal with top 5% of the American population - can be very distorting.

It is equally horrifying that the obvious questions are not being asked. BOSS Linux seems to have been made by CDAC - were they contacted to sort out the problem ? Was there a support contract?

That is why in India it makes no sense to discuss in terms of gov vs private, this vs that of any kind - basically a land of third raters giving rise to a fourth rate culture. Third rate people, fourth rate culture.
