Canada is 158 years old today.
We don't have nuclear bombs.
We have free healthcare.
We don't cause wars.
We love ice hockey.
We don't beat our chests.
We count our blessings.
This is Canada.

- It is shocking that U.S. businesses think hotel discounts, free bike rentals and massage discounts will convince Canadians to visit. Our problem is the majority of you voted for a corrupt authoritarian that we despise. You wanted this. You knew. You chose. Deal with it.
- Canada, Denmark and Panama join together to urge Americans to first fix your own “shithole” country before setting your imperial greedy hands on other sovereign nations.
- Snowbirds, March breakers and non-essential travel to the US by Canadians should be cancelled. Boycott the US.
- Raw milk, no fluoride, no vaccines, free-range life, everything pretty "natural", eh? Sounds amazing? That was 1800 in Canada. Life expectancy was 39. Shake your head.
- It’s true publicly funded healthcare in Canada is not perfect, I’m an ER doctor so know that. But Ali Velshi’s dad got cardiac surgery in Toronto and only paid for parking. This public system - over profiteering - is worth saving.
00:00 - ER doc here. This is a tragic death. Based on the information available, a 6 hour wait for MD evaluation is unacceptable. We know those who leave ER without being seen by an MD are a high-risk group - and we do not blame them. - 1/9 nationalpost.com/news/canada/mo… @tophlambie
- Not one single day goes by I’m not grateful and proud to be a Canadian.
- ER doc warning: healthcare in Ontario is in free-fall - I have not seen it worse in the last 15 years
- Don't tell me Canada is "broken" when my patient with respiratory failure brought by lights and sirens is roomed and resuscitated in minutes and is doing much better. It insults the thousands of emergency responders and ER staff across this great nation. Bruised yes, not broken
- If you would like to know what ER doctors do when offered the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine - the answer is they get it as quickly as possible when first eligible.
- Canada: make no mistake. We are witnessing the dismantling of publicly funded healthcare in Ontario in a deliberate and orchestrated manner by the Ontario government. There is no effective manner to stop this situation. It is hegemony.
- I'm a Canadian MD for 24 years and never lead to the bankruptcy of anyone. A minority of my ER patients have a difficult experience, but most of the situations are reasonable. US healthcare has no morality. And we don't shoot people in the street over medical bills. @atruparTrump: "I would love to see Canada be the 51st state. The Canadians citizens, if that happened ... they'd have much better health coverage."
00:00 - The most powerful prescription I could write as an ER doctor is an apartment for someone homeless.
