What dreadfully sad news about Steve. Radio has lost one of it's greatest exponents. An inspiration to countless broadcasters who was loved by millions of listeners. He changed my life in so many ways and there was never a dull moment. My thoughts are with his family.

- What can I say? 23 years of fun alongside a legend, a constant inspiration and one of the hardest working people I've ever met. An honour and a privilege. Here's to the future.
- Just gathering my thoughts ahead of the last SWITA ('for a while') after 23 years on R2. It'll be emotional I'm sure but also, as always, a lot of fun. Thanks again for all the many kind words and amazing messages of support. See you for The Big Show, live till 5 from 2!
- I'm shocked and dismayed by y'days changes announced for BBC local radio. I began my career there, the best training in the world, and was still working there occasionally until a few years ago. Best wishes to everyone who's job is now potentially at risk.Ridiculous decision.
- Just wanted to say a belated thanks to everyone who sent such lovely, supportive and generous messages last week following the news about The Big Show. Can't tell you how much it meant to me and the whole team. Thank you.
- Looking forward to playing some top jazz, blues and soul on Jazz FM this afternoon from 2. So nice to be back, hope you can join me.
- Delighted to be back on the radio tomorrow morning at 10 sitting in for the brilliant Danielle Perry on @jazzfm. Ray Charles, Mama Terra, Charlie Parker, Steely Dan and loads more. Really looking forward to it after some sad days. Hope you can join me for some of it!
- Woke up to the very sad news that Paul O'Grady had passed away. One of the nicest and most naturally funny people we ever interviewed and a brilliant broadcaster and performer. Condolences to all his family and friends.
- Just seeing in the new year quietly with Jools' hootenanny! And my wife! Happy new year! Here's to a healthy and hopefully far more peaceful one in 2023.
- Delighted to be returning to Jazz FM with a couple of shows over Easter. It's been a while so really looking forward to playing some top jazz, blues & soul again on the radio. See you on Good Friday & Easter Monday.
- Really pleased to be back on Jazz FM again all this week sitting in for Danielle Perry from 10am-2pm. And starting this Saturday at 9pm, I'm delighted to be presenting a new 3 part series I've put together, Jazz on Screen, playing a variety of music from the movies and TV.
- So very sad to hear about the passing of Jono Coleman. I double-headed some programmes with Jono back in the early 90's on GLR and our paths crossed occasionally ever since. A lovely man and a warm, funny, passionate and very talented broadcaster who will be sadly missed by many.
- How dreadfully sad to hear of the passing of Janice Long. She was a brilliant totally dedicated trailblazing broadcaster and a wonderfully warm, funny and generous person. She'll be very sadly missed and my thoughts go out to her family.
- Looking forward to being back on #jazzfm again this afternoon from 2pm. We're playing the 'Greatest' jazz soul and blues all day so hope you can join me for some classic tracks from some legendary artists.
