- My Dad, Stephen Ernest Martin, died peacefully last night at the age of 74. He was my intellectual sparring partner, my guide in so many things, my friend. He was loved by so many and there aren’t words to describe how we will miss him.
- Kristina Berdynskykh - third night in the metro station turned bomb shelter. “I can’t believe in 2022, I am sleeping on floor in the metro all because Putin won’t accept Ukraine as a democratic and free country.”

- They are not “surprise” ballots. They are just called “ballots.”Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!
- I had never heard of the Tulsa massacre until I saw The Watchmen and went looking for information. I was left feeling duped, betrayed, shamed that this happened in my country and I never knew.
- That's a wrap! I'm off the show (and this platform) for the next two months. Taking a long break to indulge some other parts of my curiosity, re-connect my family in the great American West and remind my body what it feels like to sleep like a normal person. Peace & Light, all.
- The President is saying NASCAR made a mistake by banning the confederate flag. His language encourages people to fly the flag that represents the losing side of the Civil War, the side that wanted to keep enslaving people. This is not an editorial statement. This is just true.
- Change is good and necessary. And I’m making one. It's been the honor of a lifetime to host Morning Edition for the past 6 years. A lot of stuff went down in this country during that time and it’s been a privilege to do my part to help you make sense of all of it.
