- In this week's @NewYorker, I have a story about the Mayan language interpreters working with the many Guatemalan migrants at the border who do not speak Spanish fluently--or at all. Indigenous families are separated in disproportionately high numbers.
- I wrote for @Harpers about who might actually be behind the more than 100,000 killings and disappearances in Mexico since 2006 via a review of two books: @oswaldo__zavala "Drug Cartels Do Not Exist" & @benjamintsmith7 "The Dope"
