A big thank you to Dr Karan Singh, @Jairam_Ramesh & @sardesairajdeep for launching my book on Nandini Satpathy. We need to stories of such iconic leaders so India doesn’t remain a country greatly unfamiliar with its own greatness. @SimonSchusterIN @ccoi_1947

I've been working at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha as a researcher for 2.5 years & have been documenting data on @SatyendarJain departments. I have some thoughts about why every single Indian should know about this less talked about leader. Thread.

I want to know why I was detained? Section 144 prohibits an assembly of four or more. I was alone and had nothing to do with the protest. @DelhiPolice

My sources have confirmed that Arif Saab is a strong contender for the post of President of India. Brilliant scholar who I have learnt a lot from.

I was detained by the police today. They threw me into a bus and then detained me at Mandir Marg police station. I had nothing to do with the protest. Went there for official work. Traumatised. #CAA_NRC_Protest

I used one of @SatyendarJain’s Health Dept’s hospitals today. Palm trees, orange flowers & happy staff. @ArvindKejriwal’s Govt has removed income barriers from public healthcare & set a new gold standard. #EkMaukaKejriwalKo #ekmaukaaapko

I watched AAP closely as a journalist and then worked as a researcher in a Vidhan Sabha led by them. I can tell you why I believe in them. AAP is not a typical party. It is designed as a governance experiment.

Ran into govt school students in Ghonda while covering Priyanka Gandhi’s roadshow in North East Delhi. Thank you for this, @msisodia @ArvindKejriwal @dilipkpandey

My dog is missing since Diwali night from Vasant Vihar. He is wearing a green and grey harness and responds to the names Chintu/Ro/Pastry. He has old injury marks on his right leg. He’s a pure soul and just a little baby at heart. Please circulate and help us find him.

Last tweet: Jain also helped the Kejriwal Govt save way over 100 crore in a flyover project & had earned praise from Venkaiah Naidu. The project was sanctioned Rs 247 crore by the Sheila Dikshit Govt. This is what @ArvindKejriwal has enabled in India.

He may not be a dramatic orator like Smriti Irani, but this man has worked very hard, very honestly and brought innovation to governance. His story remains less known because he is not a political minister, he is a governance minister & a true son of India! Bharat Mata ki Jai!

He noticed that the per bed cost (non AC) of hospitals (Burari, Ambedkar Nagar, Dwarka) under construction by Congress was amounting to 1 crore. He slashed it to less than 20 lakh & increased bed strength. Dikshit once confessed she would have benefited from a minister like him.

Mohalla Clinics was his idea because you need an architect to construct a clinic in less than 20 lakh in porta cabins on pavements, in a city of complex land laws. From getting residents to find land to rehiring retired doctors - AAMCs were the most disruptive of schemes ever!

He was the one who constructed 21,000 new classrooms at a fraction of the cost. The money saved from PWD’s construction projects went into offering essential drugs free in Delhi. Capital has an Essential Drug List! Jain has made such subsidies/'freebies' fiscally prudent!
