Today I visited Shruti’s Tree at Ealing Hospital. “In memory of healthcare professionals who have died by suicide. Take care of those who take care of others” reads the plaque. And on the same day, we have this news story. Are we taking care of those who take care of others?

12 (and a bit) years ago, I walked into Northwick Park Hospital as an FY1 doctor in Cardiology. Today, I left the same department with CCT. Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way. You know who you are.

No. They were masterful at pretending they spent the last 9 years in opposition.

Frontline doc here. I have zero appetite for this. Particularly if rule breakers (friends and family included), who have contributed to the spread and put me and my colleagues at risk, think this absolves them of responsibility.

Odd that you should be proud of a newspaper helping out because you have failed.

Tomorrow I return to the ward where I started as an F1. I return to the firm that inspired me to switch career directions and pursue Cardiology. I return as a registrar to where it all began. Emotional.

CPR in inappropriate circumstances is utterly traumatic for the deceased patient, the staff and the family. I’ve been involved with them and I’ve even led them. It’s utterly horrible. Please stop wishing undignified deaths upon people.

Deeply saddened to hear about the death of Michael Schachter. A mentor to me in medical school, who provided such compassionate pastoral support in my hour of need, and an all round lovely person. He will be sorely missed. The Imperial family is grieving @icsmsu. RIP.
