- Innalilahi wa innailaihi raji'un. In the early hours of this morning I woke up to a call that my father Dr. Saeed Sheikh Mohamed passed away in Hargeisa. Please keep him in your duas. May Allah swt be pleased with him and grant him the highest rank of paradise
- I recently started going to a different mosque for Jummah - a small one within walking distance My father (AUN) used to frequent this mosque for almost every prayer when he was Toronto. I didn’t realize until today he became friends with the entire administration and imam
- Hargeysa’s newest and only 5 star hotel is opening to the public next week. Good thing I’m not the public 😉

00:00 - I visited my uncle’s house in Hargeisa and came across a historical artefact; an original copy of the declaration of Somaliland’s re-independence. It was signed by Traditional clan elders from all regions of Somaliland at the Burco Conference on May 31, 1991
- Replying to @premo416When I told him that was my father, he embraced me like I was his son. He read a prayer, shared his condolences and spoke fondly of memories learning from him. I was then introduced to the entire administration - all his friends. All sharing their prayers a year later ❤️
- Replying to @premo416I already knew from their daily never ending questions that their thirst for knowledge is insatiable. Can’t wait to see what they grow up to accomplish InshaAllah
- Should we be outraged about a tracksuit or this?
- When my Dad (AUN) served as a chairman of the UAE/Canadian branch of the SNM, he was in constant communication with the main headquarters and SNM chairman at the time. I came across a folder with over 50 correspondences signed by Ahmed Silanyo, Abdirahman Tuur and more.
- Alhamdulilah celebrated my birthday by taking my family to the holy cities during Ramadan and performing Umrah on behalf of my Dad (Allahunaxariisto). May Allah accept everyone’s deeds
- Replying to @premo416They learned about his passing last year but didn’t know family/friends to share their condolences. Today, a Palestinian brother stopped me to ask if I was Somali (while wearing my mask lol) and if I knew Dr. Saeed - he wanted to get in touch with his family.
- Replying to @premo416Tuition (monthly school fees and books) at the local school is $15. I sent that and a lil more for each through my dad and he pays the head master directly every month. These kids were highlight of my trip.
- When I was in Hargeysa, one of the purposes of my trip was to sort out my dads (AUN) estate. I went through boxes, suite cases and brief cases of documents. It felt like going through a time machine. Each folder meticulous and organized - highlighting a period of his life.
