We lost an officer of 15yrs at the 17th earlier this year. We wanted to show his son some ❤ this Holiday Season. He wanted to come to his "dad's" job. He loved it so much he said "see you next year" And we definitely will🥰. Merry Christmas

- Resident complaints of drug sales and intimidation lead @ppd17dist officers to patrol the area revealing not only a drug recovery of crack cocaine but a gun hidden under the hood of the car. Thank you Officers for not only addressing residents concerns but keeping the area safe.
- Shortly after a shooting 2300 Reed St. last night. @PPD17Dist officers were able to apprehend an offender with not one but 3 firearms. Good job officers and thank you for quick response times to incidents that traumatizing the community.
- Sgt. Sylvia Young, 22nd District, is going home today from the hospital. Sgt. Young was shot Friday, Sept. 16th.
- Let go!! @Ppd17Dist officers taking the protection of our residents as serious as possible. Another gun off the streets in the city from illegal owners. Stolen and in possession of a felon. Good job officers and we love you for caring.
- #NationalPoliceWeek our Chaplains made sure 2 take care of each shift from last out throughout the day. We appreciate them 4 not only feeding us but also 🙏🏾 for us daily. Remembering that the overnight shift is often forgotten & 2 make sure they were taken care of, was a blessing

00:00 - While aggressively patrolling an area in the 17th recently plague by gunfire. 17th district officers conducted a car stop with wrong tags on vehicle revealing a male who was an unlicensed felon that still got access a firearm.
- Amazing young lady. @TheScottCharles gave her a shout out. Called her and she responded right away. A south philly resident recieving the resources that she was worried about having for her loved one. Thank you both.
- ❤/🙇♂️go out to Sean Schellenger's family/friends. He was an avid supporter of the 17th. He's touched a lot of lives for the better. He will be sorely missed😔
- Captain McKinney went on stroll of Point Breeze and bumped into a daycare taking their tots on a fresh air break walk, which is very important. Sooo in typical Cpt. McKinney fashion he joined them for their walk😀.
