Came across this website mapchart.net/index.html which allows you to create bespoke maps. I have now been able to map out our case studies and explored places on the A Level. Useful for displays and future revision activities.

This worked brilliantly with year 8 and 9 today as part of peer and self assessment. Keep it, Bin it, Build it! Honestly the best work I’ve achieved from using peer and self assessment. Ever! Thank you for the idea @MrStephens_LMA #geographyteacher #geogchat

Stop teacher bashing please. Its bad enough we get that from non-teachers. Practice dual coding if you want. Get it wrong & try it again if it doesn't go according to plan. Do as much CPD as you want. Do none if you want. Read as many books as you want. Your choice. No one else.

A student just asked me how do we measure categories of tropical storms, so there's no time better than now to introduce them to these fellas.

I’ve kept this quiet for the past 4 months… I have a new job for September! Thrilled to be moving on to a sixth form college and be Head of Geography. It will be sad to be leave KS3 and KS4 behind but I’m looking forward to focusing on and improving my KS5 practice.

This a brilliant template I found on Schoology last year for retrieval practice with my GCSE students. Very clear format and anything that involves a thermometer as an activity usually gets a thumbs up from me.

I will be forever grateful for how useful ChatGPT has been in helping to generate mark schemes for unseen questions I use with students. Literally saves me hours monthly.

My first blog post in about a year. Ten ideas that support great A Level teaching.

Looking forward to giving this version of the revision clock a whirl after HT. On board image support. And I haven't used a hexagon in ages!

My Bookmark triology is now complete! I turned @MrsHumanities GCSE structure sheet (literal copy and paste, its so good) into a Ks4 Bookmark. So now each Key Stage has a bookmark for writing. #geographyteacher #Geogchat
