    I get asked a lot about Tyson’s training. To be honest most of the work he does is on his own. ⁦@TroskyBaseball⁩ has been a positive influencer on his development. As Nate says “Everyone practices, what are you doing before, after, and between practices?” #Two12

    Brice Matthews rankings on Perfect Game. Families spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on this stuff and get caught up in the rankings hype. Brice was the 18th pick in this years MLB Draft. Don’t put too much weight in this stuff. Find good competition. Play the game. Repeat.

    Vital component of hitting and often lacking. Creating and FEELING a weight shift into the rear hip while slightly coiling/closing front hip. Ride that “pinch/gather” in the rear hip out until the front foot lands. Earlier and slower load. Then Explode! Credit: @dr_hitting

    When I hear “that coach is too hard on them”.... I think SOFT. Soft parents, soft kid, soft culture. People want to eat sausage, they just never want to know how it’s made. If you want to be truly elite it just simply takes more than most are willing to give. Don’t be soft.

    Ty was promoted to Daytona Beach Thursday. Was up at 4:00 am, flew to FL yesterday, landed about 2 hours before the game. Shuttled to park and started at SS and lead off. This was his second AB.

    5P Rule: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. If you want uncommon results, be willing to give uncommon effort, make uncommon sacrifices, and hold yourself accountable. Blue collar mentality. Your work is NEVER done. What can you do today to prepare for tomorrow?

    Emotional night. Tyson took off for Goodyear, AZ to sign his contract with the Reds and to begin his professional career. These two boys have spent thousands upon thousands of hours together training and pushing each other. They are each other’s biggest supporter. ❤️💪⚾️
