- Replying to @niksadecimallol that’s awesome. A lot of these groups are surprisingly respectful and professional in communication. There’s usually a mutual respect, it’s usually just business to them
- Some advice for beginners getting into cybersecurity: - avoid the A+ cert - learn networking - learn Linux - learn Blue team before Red, both eventually - pick a SIEM, get really good at it before going to another - learn a scripting language - use commandline often
- Tomorrow I will post a study strategy to pass the CompTIA Security+ in 60-90 days. If you have no cybersecurity exp, it will be a grind & it might make you cry at times but it will be worth it. If you already have some cyber exp, you could do it in less than 30 days.
