The UK is now ranked fourteenth on LGBTQ+ rights in Europe, having been ranked first in 2015. There is a trans moral panic. Anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes are rising. We are still waiting for conversion practices to be banned. Three of the many reasons it’s #NotSafeToBeMe.

- Horrified by the ongoing discussion around trans prisoners. There are only 15 trans prisoners in Scottish prisons. Isla Bryson and Tiffany Scott are unusual cases. This is similar to #Section28 in the 1980s, where an entire minority was misrepresented as predatory. #Section35
- I currently take one tablet daily – the only reminder that I'm living with HIV. It keeps my viral load undetectable, meaning that I can't pass HIV on. I can expect a normal lifespan. The greatest challenge is stigma, due to a lack of knowledge. #HIVHasChanged #WorldAIDSDay
- No LGBTQIA+ child should be outed to their parents by their teachers or school, including trans and non-binary children. Guidance for schools should allow children to come out on their own terms. Not undermine or potentially endanger them.
- India Willoughby is an inspirational woman who speaks up for trans people and the LGBTQIA+ community generally. Says what she thinks. At a time when our rights are all increasingly threatened. The misgendering and abuse directed at her is disgusting. #WithTheT
- We have “to get rid of this lie that somehow equality will diminish others and equality for trans people will diminish women – that is an absolute, categorical lie.” Privilege speaking to @mcashmancbe for @gaytimes! @stonewalluk gaytimes.co.uk/originals/mich…
- .@stonewalluk was crucial in the resettlement of LGBTQ+ Afghans, is working tirelessly to #banconversiontherapy and is supporting the fight for LGBTQ+ fertility rights. And that's just 3 projects from the past 2 weeks! I am so grateful that #Stonewall advocates for LGBTQ+ people.
- As Pride Month comes to a close, I want to emphasize the importance of uplifting LGBTQ+ voices all year round, particularly our trans siblings, migrants and asylum claimants, racially minoritised groups, as well as disabled people. There is strength in diversity. #PrideMonth
- Thank you to @JessicaLBarnard for defending trans rights so articulately on Radio 4's Any Questions. The rights of many LGBTQ+ people are increasingly under threat in the UK. #bbcaq
- “My identity as a cis lesbian is not diminished or erased by the existence of trans and non-binary people; in fact, it’s enhanced, because they’re a beautiful part of our community.” – @HannahB4LiviMP. @OutForIndy @gaytimes #WithTheT gaytimes.co.uk/originals/scot…
- Today, 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with #HIV. I was 24. Medical approaches to HIV have changed. And so has my life. I am no longer a terrified patient, but an outspoken activist. I am on effective treatment, can expect a normal lifespan and #CantPassItOn. #HIVHasChanged

- I unequivocally support Stonewall for all that they have done and continue to do for me as a gay man, but also because they stand for trans, LGBTQ+ and human rights broadly. None of us are equal until all of us are equal. And that means full equality for my trans siblings.
