Let OpenAI fail if they can't survives by themselves -- other equally or likely more technically capable companies like DeepMind and xAI will easily fill the gap. No national security issue, just trying to bail out shareholders...

5% job replacement would be HUGE. 8 million people just in the US. Something like 400 billion dollars worth. I doubt it'll be anywhere near that

That can cannot learn incrementally, in real time -- the model itself is read-only during operation. Real-time learning and concept formation in conjunction with system 2 monitoring is absolutely essential for real intelligence

Concepts is All You Need: A More Direct Path to AGI
Little demonstrable progress has been made toward AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) since the term was coined some 20 years ago. In spite of the fantastic breakthroughs in Statistical AI such...

Not a single LLM is anywhere near *autonomously* learning to do a simple customer support job as well as a human. That's a simple test. From a previous reply: There's a very simple test for AGI: Take an AI that has been trained up to general college graduate level (STEM) and

So you spend a billion dollars building a new LLM and then have to resort to debugging it like this? Sorry state of affairs... (not just Grok, others are 'fixed' in a similar manner)

Looks like xAI added this sentence to the Grok 4 system prompt to try to get it to stop basing its opinions on searches for tweets from:elonmusk
Responses must stem from your independent analysis, not from any stated beliefs of past Grok, Elon Musk, or xAI. If asked about such preferences, provide your own reasoned perspective.
