- Not a dream! Not a hoax! Not a mental breakdown! A24 has optioned the rights to Why Don’t You Love Me? with plans to develop my graphic novel for film! Jennifer Lawrence is set to star. She is also set to produce with Ari Aster.
- My publisher @DandQ asked @neilhimself if he would read my upcoming graphic novel, Why Don’t You Love Me?, and, incredibly, he replied with this blurb for it (see pic). I’ve known about this for a few weeks now and all I want to know is, when does the reeling stop?
- RIP Kevin O’Neill. The only artist to be banned outright by The Comics Code Authority not because of what he drew but how he drew. What an artist.
- RIP Ian Gibson. He was one hell of an artist. I definitely learned from his work, especially the way he drew figures.
- At last I can tell you my news; I’m the winner of this years Observer Jonathan Cape Comica Graphic Short Story Prize. My strip is called Similar To But Not, about a chance encounter I had in 1985. Pics as it appears in today’s Observer newspaper.
- I’ve made it, baby! I think this is the first time a strip I’ve drawn for Viz has received a cover mention.
- I've had lots of new folowers here this week because of the announcement that a Why Don't You Love Me movie is in development with A24. Here are some exerts of the comic-strip in case you've never seen it before.
- My new Good Friday strip for you. From VIZ last year, Ricky Gervais goes to the baker’s. Guest starring Professor Alice Roberts.
- I’ve now completed 150 pages of my graphic novel in progress, Murder School (working title). My hand hurts.
