    Watching gaming outlets jump through rhetorical hoops to justify coverage on Hogwarts Legacy isn’t surprising, but it’d be more honest if they played it straight and just said “our shaky business model does not allow us to ignore any game that might sell 10 million copies.”

    No game, no matter now good, is worth destroying lives in the process. In 2019, rather than exclusively focusing on where things have gone wrong, I'll be investigating and profiling places where things are changing—studios and individuals making labor conditions a priority.

    The important takeaway from how Blizzard started BlizzCon today is not that someone "apologized," but that it was an empty apology with no change in Blizzard's stance, empty words about how it originally fucked up. Blitzchung is still banned. vice.com/en_us/article/…

    I'm not sure where to begin, except to say, with equal parts fury and sadness, that Waypoint is over. The team, myself included, have been terminated by VICE, and our final day running the website, the podcasts, and streams, will come to an end on June 2nd.
