my rule of thumb for the morality of euthanasia for any given medical condition is “if a billionaire had this problem would he still want to die to end the suffering” and if the answer is no then that means a solution exists and euthanasia is just a route of convenience
mental health and conditions with environmental solutions (like hypoallergenic housing, assisted living) are insanely inhumane to prescribe suicide for… compared to like, terminal cancer?? it’s a completely different conversation
Honestly the dissection isnt even the problem, the fact that they went so deep into it and just COMPLETELY failed to mention how traumatized lilo is from her parents death and how thats a driving force of the movie is insane
