Pregnancy isn’t safe because of racism and lack of abortion rights. No universal paid parental leave. Childcare costs more than rent. No free school lunch. Economy sucks, everyone is stressed&broke. The world is literally crumbling before our eyes. What do they expect???

This nurse in preop just berated me in front of the patient. When I ignored her & introduced myself she immediately changes her tune. Oh, you’re the doctor? I thought you were one of the OR nurses. I said, well even if I was a nurse you shouldn’t talk to anyone like that! Rude.

My patient had her 3 kids in clinic. Her youngest daughter asked if I was the doctor? I said “yes, I will be helping your mommy today.” She replied, “Im going to be a doctor!” Her big sis followed with a big “Me, too!” Then we all gave each other high✋🏾s. Representation matters.

This Olympics was just a mess— had the swimmers in toxic river water, Shelly-Ann and Shacarri not being let into warm ups, Jamaicans not running, Noah Lyles spreading COVID everywhere, and now this mess with Jordan Chiles. I know LA better not embarrass us like this in 2028.

Stop telling women that they are too young to have endometriosis or have surgery for endometriosis. I recently operated on a 20 year old with endometriosis on her diaphragm, yes, endometriosis nodules all the way up to where her heart and lungs live. Believe women!
