No one expected it to get off the pad, let alone make it into the atmosphere and max Q. It was a stunning success, given that it’s never once flown before. Several more launch attempts will be made with several more ships under construction. This is how you do science.

The irony is that the first geologists were christians who were "studying God's creation" and in doing so discovered sediment layers that could not have formed in the times allowed by biblical standards. Christians were the first to disprove young-earth creationism.

Apparently these birds are cherished in Brazil where this was filmed. The farmers know how to avoid running them over, and to demonstrate the bird’s bravery decided to film it to show the world.
