A take down of Catharine MacKinnon’s pro-transgender piece in Signs. This thorough dissection by Seiya Morita addresses the errors, lies, sophistry, distortions, leaps of logic, and misogyny in MacKinnon’s piece.

Sadly, those of us who are familiar with the pattern of domestic violence knew that there was no happy ending to the Gabby Petito case. THREAD

Love and solidarity to @MForstater today. This ruling is incredibly important for working women and for free speech in general. Again we ask, where are the trade unions?

Why are teenagers going to university if they think they know better than their lecturers? Why are they attending institutions that they think have nothing to teach them?

We suspect that Brian Laundrie will also be found dead, having killed himself rather than take responsibility for his actions. Do not allow this narrative to become a 'double tragedy'. Gabby's death is a tragedy. If Laundrie, kills himself, it is reprehensible cowardice.

Gabby Petito's case is a stark reminder that abusive men will often accuse their victim of being the abusive partner — for example where the victim acts in self defence.

Abusive men are controlling & manipulative. They appear calm & rational to outsiders in order to discredit their victim's allegations. For 37 year old Brian Laundrie, 15 years older than 22 year old Gabby Petito, this was an easy role to play.

Porn and the sex trade breed incelism. It is not a mental health condition, it’s the natural end point of teaching men they can get sexual gratification from women however they want, whenever they want — be that through online porn or paid sex.

Despite finding a hysterical and distressed Petito who reported that her boyfriend had grabbed her by the jaw & pushed her, they allowed Laundrie to control the narrative, calling him the victim and agreeing with him that it was a 'mental health incident'.

Three women are murdered by their partners every day in the USA. Police departments need extensive training in domestic violence awareness. Where they fail to recognise signs of domestic abuse and a woman's death results, they should be held accountable.

They play the paternalistic role, claiming they are sympathetic to & forgiving of their partner's hysteria — the gracious, responsible, mature boyfriend vs the frantic, crying, bratty, hysterical girlfriend... 'She's just got herself worked up. Don't worry, I'll look after her'.
