    I was so annoyed when someone today told me they thought #Yemen was some arid, dry, Sahara (thanks to Disney romanticism of Arabia). Dude, my country is breathtakingly gorgeous with its green mountains, lush valleys, and pearly beaches. Don't they have Google in YOUR country?

    It's Friday, day of week Muslims congregate. Taking my two young boys to mosque now where will pray for the 49 deceased in New Zealand terror attack and their families. I'm angry, but won't pray for God to extract revenge, rather guide those souls filled with hate and bigotry.

    Sana'a is being bombed right now. Other cities reporting same. Can't help but think that there were no lessons learned from 8 years of relentless bombing that have achieved nothing but devastation and despair to #Yemen-is.

    I miss home. My village, alSaddah, waking up to birds chirping, lush landscape, the small rivers with kids swimming and playful carefree. The kind elders parting much wisdom on the green banks. Had little, but content and happy. War is hell. Must end it before all is lost. #Yemen
