- After reading her Twitter (ok, X) posts I’m convinced the $80 million upgrades to Blue Bell Park should include a statue of Braden Montgomery’s mom.
- Just made eye contact with Jim Schlossnagle. He nodded. I nodded. It's going to be an interesting press conference.
- Former A&M fullback Earnest Crownover was here to listen to coach Elko. Earnest is now working for Frost Bank in Houston.
- A Texas fan tells me A&M is afraid to play Longhorns. Right. A&M leaves Big 12 to play Alabama, Auburn and LSU every year, but afraid of Texas? That's like agreeing to fight Tyson, Holmes and Ali, but being afraid of Danger from Million Dollar Baby.
- Oh more facts for my Longhorn friend (He may unfriend me for this). Only 3 Texas opponents have a winning record. Six aren't bowl eligible. But 5 A&M foes have at least 9 wins. Nine are bowl eligible. End of discussion.
- I'm listening to the radio on my way back from Baton Rouge. Analysts are pointing out LSU was without injured starting LB White Weeks and LT Tyree Adams. Funny, but they never mentioned A&M was without injured starting RB Le'Veon Moss and S Bryce Anderson.
- A&M QB Marcel Reed: "Elko definitely said some things. I can't remember every detail, but it was aggressive for sure."
- Schlossnagle to Texas players: "Don't listen to what I say. Judge me by my actions. Many people on the A&M side will say this wasn't done the right way. I don't know how it could have been done any other way."
