People need to just stop. Twitter and my email are full of people blaming the NYSPHSAA sectional leaders and the state office staff. There is only one guy making the decisions depriving H.S. athletes of the chance to compete, and that is Andy Cuomo.

- H.S. sports fans: Kiss the winter season goodbye. Mr. Cuomo's spot-zoning solution to "hot spots" injects such randomness into the ability to practice and play that the season isn't salvageable. The virus is real, the strategy is laughable.
- The NYSPHSAA has announced that football, girls volleyball and fall cheerleading witll be moved to a March 1 start. I don't see any way that keeping other fall sports in place can be justified, but that's strictly opinion.

- Replying to @nysswaActing with emergency powers because the state legislature's dereliction of duty, Cuomo is a dictator in every sense except for his official title. He has changed course so many times on restaurants, gyms and salons that his credibility should be questioned but hasn't been.
- Fifty points is literally an average night at the office for Joe Girard III. That, though, was no average finish, my friends. Great players make clutch plays when they're needed most, and JG3 delivered for his team and his town.

- With Spectrum having pulled back from televising most if not all state tournaments since the Time-Warner merger, NYSPHSAA is working on a plan to sub-license content to the NFHS Network. Final details yet to be hashed out. Some sections are already moving games to NFHS Network.
