    Today we delivered a Valentines card to @UniversitiesUK on behalf of 7 million students - it's time to show some love for staff on strike, we stand shoulder to shoulder with @ucu. 💕✊ #OneOfUsAllOfUs

    If you only value education by salary outcomes then you're missing the point. This is just another ideological attack on degrees that nurture creativity and critical thinking. The policy would do huge damage to the aspirations of people from our most disadvantaged communities.

    Too many students are being sold a university education that won't get them a decent job at the end of it. So I'm cracking down on rip-off degrees and boosting apprenticeships to ensure students get the best deal possible. Widening access. Boosting jobs. Growing the economy.
